Re-Election Buffet Dinner

Join me on the evening of Thursday, September 28th at Bella Napoli for my re-election buffet dinner!

Summer is winding down and the brisk days and cool nights of fall will soon be here -- which means that Election Day (Tuesday, November 7th)  is just around the corner.

Please join our friends and neighbors at my re-election buffet dinner to help me spread the word on all that I have accomplished for the residents of the 2nd Ward, and all that I wish to accomplish should I receive the privilege of being re-elected as your council representative once again.

I have been a relentless advocate for the interests of the 2nd Ward in our township government, working to cut red tape and improve responsiveness to the needs and concerns of our residents. Over the course of this spring and summer I have personally visited every home in the 2nd ward to meet my constituents and listen to their concerns and suggestions. I've had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with many of you again after visiting you during my walking tours in previous years.

Many of you know me as a staunch advocate of preserving open space to enhance our quality of life and protect our environment. I am very proud that the township is about to transform 9 acres of open space located at the end of Liongate Drive (off Broad Street near the Glen Ridge Country Club) into Bloomfield's newest park.

This property - known as the Scientific Glass/Liongate parcel for the manufacturing facility that was once located there - is situated along the Third River on a flood plain. Along with many others, I fought to preserve this property for almost 15 years - even before I was elected to the council - to prevent even worse flooding for homeowners and businesses downstream along the Third River as well as to provide more active and passive recreation space for our residents and children.

I am incredibly pleased that our current mayor and council have shared my vision and given their support to make this long-delayed dream into reality. This was the largest open-space acquisition for Bloomfield  in over 50 years and and will fulfill a vital need for recreation in our growing and densely-populated town.

With your help I will continue my advocacy of your interests and those of our neighbors in the 2nd ward and of everyone in Bloomfield. And I will continue my work with our mayor and council to provide good value for your tax dollars by delivering township government services in a highly-responsive and highly-efficient manner.

With your support I can continue to "Work Hard for You in Ward Two!" as your full-time councilman!.
